Installation Summary

  1. Cut and remove the outer jacket 5.5inch (140mm) from the top of the cable (for heating cable without outer jacket, skip this step).

  2. Unbraid the braid from the top of the cable. Disperse into two strands, align, and twist.

  3. Straighten and twist the two strands into one. Cut and remove the inner insulation 4inch (100mm) from the top of the cable.

  4. Shave the black core material from the outside of each bus wire.

  5. Peel back the bus wires from the core material and remove the remaining core material.

  6. Insert the two bus wires into Ø3 (3inch/75mm) black heat shrink tubes individually, then heat evenly side-to-side.
  7. Slide the Ø12 (2inch/50mm) heat shrink tube into position, heat until glue comes out from both ends, then pinch between the two wires and hold for at least 10 seconds with pliers.
